Tonight I was honored to be a part of the University of North Dakota’s Spirit Showcase and Art Auction. This was an incredible event that supported the University as well as the community’s talented artists. My painting ‘Discover the Spirit’ was auctioned off and it was won by a great supporter and friend.

This was a creative and exciting triptych commission I did for a first time collector. He has a great fascination with the bright green and I must say that I do now as well! He has now become a repeat collector and a great support of my art – I am very thankful and honored.

I am excited to share with you that I have found a great new direction to take my art. As I normally do, I closely inspect the canvas as the paint is trying to appreciate all of the fine detail. I now take multiple zoomed in pictures of my paintings as they are drying and this results in astonishing photographs! These photographs will allow everyone to appreciate the extremely fine detail and interaction among the paint. I plan to turn these images into prints, phone cases, and business card backgrounds. What do you think?

I am happy to say that experiment has paid off! I have stumbled upon a new method that add new depth and detail to my ‘Fluid’ style paintings. The design also wraps around the entire border of the canvas and really flows well.

My best painting is coincidentally dubbed “Junk” and is on a 10×10 canvas. This one has been added to my private collection, but similar ‘Fluid’ paintings can be purchased for $100. Please email me at Tanner @ TannerPruess.com if you are interested in a painting.
